Supporting Local Communities
Here are the ways we can support your local hunger relief organization.
Client Intake Software and Assistance
Understanding who is facing hunger is key to ending food insecurity in Washington. Feeding Washington provides software and technical assistance at no cost to any food bank, pantry or meal program in the network that wants to participate in this program. This software, known as Link2Feed, is a user-friendly but robust online database used by food banks across the country. The Link2Feed platform can improve your agency’s operations in serving your community, and the information collected directly from those who visit you will provide a more accurate narrative to who is hungry in your community and across Washington.
Link2Feed and Feeding Washington protect the privacy of individuals who need food assistance while capturing important demographic and food preference information that local food-providing organizations need. You must be a member of either Food Lifeline’s or Second Harvest’s agency network to qualify for our free technology adoption help.
Benefits to your food bank, pantry or meal program:
- Client-intake software that captures demographic data and food preferences
- Ongoing technical assistance
- Strong client privacy protection
- Access to real-time information on hunger in your service area
- Free inventory and volunteer management modules
- Track multiple programs in one place, including (but not limited to): TEFAP, CSFP, Clothing Bank, Financial Assistance, School Supplies, etc.

Building Capacity of Organizations that Redistribute Food
Feeding Washington works to build capacity within the statewide food bank system to get more food to people facing hunger. We partner with regional food banks that serve as redistribution organizations in rural, suburban and urban areas to identify gaps and roadblocks that are affecting their ability to feed their communities. We leverage statewide resources and industry best practices to help the organization address these challenges.
If your organization distributes food to community-based organizations in your service area, please contact us for more information.
