In Washington state, as many as 1 in 5 military households are facing food insecurity during the pandemic. That’s why Feeding Washington is joining Food Lifeline in a statewide advocacy campaign to solve hunger problems for veterans and military families.

The WA Military Family Hunger advocacy campaign aims to unite people and organizations all across Washington in support of veterans and our more than 160,000 service members, reservist, and their families that live in and around the state’s 6 active duty military bases.

We are asking you to join this campaign and help us make systemic change so these families never go hungry. Become an advocate and help us pass key legislation like the Military Hunger Prevention Act (H.R.2339 and S.1488) and ensure the Military Family Basic Needs Allowance language remains in place for all budget and appropriations processes moving forward.
